Paddling/Canoeing Trips
We
offer day trips or 3- to 12-day overnight trips
for families, scouts, women-only and corporate outings.
For feasibility, we require a minimum of 5 people on all trips except the Green
River, which is a minimum of 8 people.
All trips include meals, tents,
canoes, paddles and Registered Maine
Guides for your safety. When you book your trip with us, we will send you
a complete list of items you need to bring to make
your trip most enjoyable. We follow carry-in/carry-out and
"leave no trace" practices.
Our trips are designed for
everyone to participate and learn about an expedition
trip. Participants will help load and
unload canoes, set up and tear down tents and camp
everyday and still have time to relax and enjoy the
scenery! Through it all, we look forward to teaching you as much as you want to know about the outdoors because we are passionate about it and love sharing it with people
like you.
Upper West Branch of the
Penobscot River
4 – 6 Day Canoe Trip
$475 - $650 per person
This is a spectacular trip through some of Maine's most untouched and breathtaking wilderness. We usually see several moose along the riverbanks, eating and swimming in the river.
We will meet near the put-in of the Upper West Branch of the Penobscot River. The next morning, we'll put-in at Lobster Trip and canoe down the river to a pre-determined primitive campsite where we'll spend our first night. All campsites on this trip have an outhouse, picnic table and fire pit. Lunch is served along the way.
We'll set up camp and your REGISTERED MAINE GUIDE will cook dinner on an open fire. After your tents are up and your gear is arranged the way you like it, you are welcome to relax by the fire and enjoy the company of your friends. Your guide can teach you anything you want to know about cooking out of doors on an open fire, "just ask". On the last day of this canoe trip, we will take out at a pre-determined spot and everyone can unload canoes for the last time and load everything back into the truck and canoe trailer so we can head home.
This trip is expedition-style, which means we bring everything we will need for the three days. There are no stores along the way!! A list of ITEMS TO BRING will be sent to you when you book your reservation. All of the cooking gear, camping gear, canoes, paddles, life vests and tents are supplied by ENCHANTED OUTFITTERS & LODGE. Please call for more details and prices for your group.
The Bow Trip
3- 4 day Canoe Trip
$375 - $450 per person
We
will explore Attean Pond and Holeb Stream, well known as The Bow Trip,

watershed of the Moose River Valley near Jackman, Maine. Guests commonly
have the opportunity to see loons, eagles, osprey, deer and moose.
This trip begins at our base in West Forks, Maine and includes meals and professional Maine guides. The guides will give instruction on basic paddling strokes and canoeing skills.
Throughout the trip everyone participates in setting up, maintaining, and
breaking down camp. In the evenings at camp, your guides can teach you more
canoeing and camping skills, including outdoor cooking over an open fire and
with dutch ovens. There is plenty of time to relax and enjoy
the trip while you learn how to do an expedition-style canoe trip. We provide canoes, paddles, personal flotation devices, tents, all meals and camp equipment. Personal dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice.

Green River – Canyonlands
Utah
8 – 12 day
Approximately $1500 per person
This is the most beautiful, relaxing and serene trip you could take.
The Canyonlands are magnificent, allowing you to canoe down river among ancient cliff-dwelling ruins with

until we reach the confluence of the Colorado River
where we will be picked up by Tex’s Riverways
and returned to Moab. At this time we will have a group
dinner, spend the last night in a motel and take the
shuttle back to Salt Lake City to catch our flights.
The fee for this trip is approximately $1500
per person, including all meals (starting with
lunch the day we put-in until we are picked up by the
shuttle service on the river), canoes, paddles, life
vests and a few extras. You must provide your own
